Leonel is a member of the transportation group in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He also serves as the Co-Director of the North American Mobility Program for student exchange, a consortium of six universities from Canada, Mexico and the U.S. In the past years, he participated in several projects funded by the West Virginia Division of Highways and the Mid-Atlantic Universities Transportation Center (MAUTC). He has 7 years of professional experience in heavy construction projects and experience in construction management as a certified PMP. His areas of expertise are transportation engineering and project management. His interests include transportation planning and public transportation. For relaxation he enjoys being with his wife and family, traveling, listening to music, dancing, and sometimes jogging in the summer.
