Professor Sharma is internationally recognised in unsaturated soils and serves on the editorial boards of a number of journals, including American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering and Gotechnique. Dr. Sharma's research program is focused on both fundamental and applied aspects of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. His other research includes energy engineering; gas hydrates; sustainable sequestration; and bio- and nano-modification of materials. He received Telford Medal, the top civil engineering award, from the Institute of Civil Engineers in London. Radhey Sharma studied at the University of Oxford for his doctorate and at Imperial College, London and Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi for MS. He has published over 75 papers in international journals and conferences. He is serving on several national and international committees. He has delivered several keynote and invited lectures wordwide.
