Admission Requirements
Admission to the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is based on a combination of high school grade-point average (unweighted 4.0 scale) and ACT or SAT scores. The following list summarizes the admission requirements.West Virginia residents with 2.00 to 2.99

In addition, students must have completed and have credit for the following high school courses:
- Four units of English (including grammar, composition, and literature)
- Three units of social studies (including U.S. history)
- Three units of college preparatory mathematics (algebra I and II and geometry)
- Two units of laboratory sciences (including physics, chemistry, biology, or other laboratory courses)
