Welcome to the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering continues to meet the social, economical, and environmental challenges of our times by graduating professionals possessing cutting edge knowledge and by our researchers creating new technology to simplify and solve our infrastructure problems. Several professors are taking civil engineering to a new level by introducing sciences like biology and microbiology into their research. As professors revitalize their methods, students will also see a shift in their instruction. With a new undergraduate curriculum in place, students are incorporating up-and-coming sciences as well as other types of engineering courses in their plans of study. An exciting and fulfilling future lies ahead for civil engineering graduates.
